90 Bridge from Ocean Springs

The bridge was disassembled and scattered as if it was weightless and
asphalt was stripped from the roadway and piled against a concrete barrier into an abstract landscape.
As I walked down the slope from the bridge,
tiny yellow flowers had pushed up through the thick debris deposited by Katrina.
Life will push through this disasterous event because the people of Mississippi's coast will push through.
They are the flowers waiting to bloom again.
