Leaving Hwy. 90 bridge and looking west, we take a drive around Front Beach
which will lead us back to Washington Ave.
The gulls were excited to see us and began flying overhead and all around...
As I stood up through the sunroof to take pictures of them,
they seemed to fly purposely low, but they were too fast for my camera.
I watched them ride the air currents and float over the water as if they were small puffs of clouds.

The gulls were a lively image and a stark contrast against the destruction and obliteration of this area.

These massive Live Oaks survived the onslaught of Katrina and it appeared these two homes were somewhat spared.

This drive has taken us back to Washington as it comes into Front Beach.
