Turning onto Jackson Ave. from Ocean Ave.

410 Jackson Avenue. What can one possibly say... I stood and looked and could not imagine such power

that would lower this gable to the ground and crumple homes as if they were a piece of paper.

410 Jackson – the south side and the yard are rubble.

Next door to 410, the sign speaks of loss and survival.

Going south on Jackson Ave. from Porter Ave.

This view is only a very short distance to the damage areas seen in the pictures above and below...

On the west side of Jackson, some homes remained, some are gone.

The family at 401 Jackson made their statement for all to read and ponder over –

"The Power of Prayer is Priceless – Thank You Lord."

Roll over the camper home to see another view of the area.

Further down and still on the west side, one family has a camper, seen between the pole and tree,

while another has a tent. The damage just gets worse.

Looking back North on Jackson at the tent and camper.

Looking south, the beach is at the end of the street.

Houses were here but only foundations and washes of concrete blocks remain. I assume the sign washed here from Porter.

Sidewalk and driveway, abandoned of their purpose. Roll over to see a closer view of the distance which is Biloxi.

East side of Jackson Ave. ending at Front Beach.

This home had a wonderful iron fence for what surely was a gracious home and yard.

On the fence hung Mardi Gras beads and a teddy bear... the juxtapostion was overwhelming,

both very sad and yet hopeful.
